The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists recently named Vera Jackson, MSW, Ph.D., as the association’s executive director and CEO.

Jackson, who most recently served as president and CEO of the Epilepsy Foundation Metropolitan Washington, replaces John Feather, Ph.D., who left the organization in late September. Jackson has held leadership roles in multiple nonprofit organizations, such as the Best Friends Foundation and RYS Inc., which offer social services for children and young adults.

Jackson has studied elder services, publishing numerous articles on geriatric issues focused on abuse, aging families, and values and ethics associated with death and dying.
