» Relias Learning has acquired the Hospice Education Network from the principals of Weatherbee Resources. This will add more than 160 hospice and palliative care courses to the company’s catalog. Weatherbee Resources will continue to provide regulatory products and services for hospices and will work closely with Relias, the company said. HEN was launched in 2007. 

» PruittHealth has chosen COMS Interactive’s Daylight IQ Product Suite for its 93 facilities. The purchase reflects the organization’s 2014 goal to further reduce avoidable hospital readmissions, CEO Neil Pruitt said.

» EarlySense has received FDA clearance for its EarlySense 2.0 system, which is a bedside monitor for respiration rate, heart rate and motion. The monitor is available in the U.S. and will soon launch in Asia and Europe. 

» Presbyterian Senior Living has selected AOD Software for putting electronic health records systems in 23 locations. The integrated system will replace PSL’s core clinical and financial systems, the company said, and allow it to collect better data and analytics.

» Quebec’s Wales Home received an honorable mention in the Prix d’Excellence awards from the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services. The award was for its Guardian Angel program, which included three initiatives: creation of a therapeutic Alzheimer’s garden, modernization of The Wales Home including in its Alzheimer’s unit, and deployment of STANLEY Healthcare’s AeroScout® Wi-Fi resident safety solution.
