The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is planning to release two new regulations in coming months.
Regulations for eating assistant (F-tag 373) and accidents (F-tag 323 and 324) were due out this spring. But CMS said it is now planning to complete them by early fall.
Also, guidance on sanitary and nutrition regulations (F-tags 325 and 371) are expected by the end of this year, said Cynthia Graunke of CMS. A regulation for pain management is also on its way, but it may not be out by the end of the year, officials say.
