The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is hosting a national conference call on Thursday to help providers learn and execute requirements of the new final Emergency Preparedness Rule. The Medicare Learning Network will host the call from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. ET.

All providers must adhere to certain training and testing requirements by the Nov. 15 implementation date. Providers, suppliers, facility leaders, and state and local emergency management officials are invited to participate in the call.

In conjunction with the rule, which was issued last September, CMS has developed a website that contains various checklists, links to emergency preparedness agencies, planning templates and many other valuable resources to facilitate compliance. For more on the rule, visit its page here.
