» Atria Senior Living announced tennis legend Billie Jean King will help develop and promote an active aging program for residents, to decrease the risk of falls and extend active lifestyles.  

» Illinois’ largest Catholic health system, Presence Health, is poised to take over Iroquois Memorial, a rural healthcare center that includes a hospital and skilled nursing facility, and offers home health and hospice services. Leaders say the $12 million deal will help coordinate care.

» Newly formed Renaissance Healthcare Partners LLC is looking to acquire, operate and manage SNFs and rehab centers in New England. Brian C. Goode and Stephen H. Neff are co-founders. Goode previously founded and sold home health and rehab company Excella, and Neff was most recently president and CEO of Aviv Centers for Living.

» Kentucky-based Signature HealthCARE LLC has entered the Indiana market for the first time by acquiring three skilled nursing facilities from Kindred Healthcare. Three SNFs in Kentucky were also part of the deal. Signature now operates in seven states.
