President Bush reportedly will make healthcare a main component of his 2006 domestic agenda.

He likely will propose expansions of previous healthcare plans. Those proposals likely will focus on market forces, tax credits, competition among providers and individual health insurance, according to the Wall Street Journal newspaper.

Bush could offer plans to provide larger tax breaks for U.S. residents who purchase individual health insurance. He also might encourage broader use of health savings accounts and assist consumers in obtaining more information about providers, the Journal said.
