Dan Storey, Administrator, Village at Marymount

A new treatment approach that improves quality measures, falls risk and skin integrity is the reason for a “urinary incontinence revolution” — and the focus of an Aug. 15 McKnight’s webinar. The hourlong event kicks off at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.

Dan Storey, the administrator at Village at Marymount, and Chad Bryan, a physician assistant at Urology Specialists of West Florida, will detail successful interventions with an innovative pilot program that treats urinary incontinence with a safe and effective neuromodulation therapy. With more than 70% of senior care residents not in complete control of their bladder, it’s “must-atttend” webinar for providers, presenters said.

Among other things attendees will learn at the Medtronic-sponsored event are:

  • How providers can meet new QAPI measures and address CMS’s F-315 regulatory requirements
  • The pervasive nature of urinary incontinence and its major causes

  • Scientific and biological underpinnings for the damage that urinary incontinence can do

  •  How Percutaneous Tibial Neuromodulation (PTNM) delivered by the NUROTM system within the facility can reduce urinary incontinence episodes potentially decreasing skin breakdown and falls.
