The American Health Information Management Association has debuted two tools to address information governance services.

The IG PulseRate™ lets providers use a web-based tool to self-assess G adoption maturity, and is considered a precursor to a new solution that will be released in2 016. IG Advisors™ offers consultation around implementation services and gap assessment, including deficiency remediation.

The organization announced the new products at the association’s 87th Annual Convention and Exhibit this week in New Orleans.

“AHIMA’s release of products and services for IG self-assessment, benchmarking, guidance, training and consulting will help organizations to launch and mature information governance programs and ultimately leverage the value of information while minimizing information risks, assuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and aligning governance of information with the organization’s strategy,” said Deborah Green, RHIA, MBA, AHIMA EVP and Chief Innovation and Global Services Officer.
