Quality initiatives in long-term care facilities are a means to a better life for the 1.3 million people residing in facilities. An important metric to indicate quality in the care of community residing elders is their incontinence care plan. When they are assessed for problems by a registered nurse and provided an evidence-based plan of care, residents with incontinence can be both active and healthy.
Objectives include:

  • Understanding how an evidence-based plan of care can make a significantly better outcome for residents.
  • Review the types of incontinence care plans available, and why they are important to quality
  • Learn about evidence supporting tailored incontinence care plans for older people living in long-term care.
  • Those who attend this webinar will learn the importance of professional incontinence care to quality outcomes in community and long term care settings.
