Long-term care transactions had the largest deal volume and value of any healthcare sector last year, according to a recent report.

PwC’s Deals report for the end of 2016 showed long-term care clocked in at 337 total deals, for a value of $14.4 billion. That’s a slight decrease in volume from 2015, but a 0.8% uptick in value.

Rehabilitation services ranked lowest of all industries in terms of deal volume and value, but was noted to be the most rapidly growing health sub-sector in terms of volume, with a 21.2% increase over 2015.
