The LeadingAge Innovations Fund is looking to give up to $100,000 in grant money to provider members that have developed innovative programs that can demonstrably improve conditions for residents, families, caregivers and other stakeholders in the eldercare care community. Applications will be accepted until Oct. 30, but preferential treatment will be given to applications received by Sept. 30, officials said. A matching pledge worth up to $50,000 from The New Courtland Foundation pumped the funds available up to $100,000. The stipends will be awarded in increments of up to $25,000 in the first year.

The LeadingAge Board of Directors designated the inaugural round of awards for those who address the importance of linking housing and services together to meet with the needs of lower income elderly to age safely in place. Winning applicants can be targeting any of a variety of areas, including service improvements, health and wellness programming, partnerships with service providers, workforce training, and assistive technology.

All applications must be submitted through an online application form. Recipients will be announced in November.
