The nation's largest nursing home association will kick off its 60th annual convention and expo Sunday at McCormick Place in Chicago. One of the highlights of the American Health Care Association's four-day confab (themed "Quality Care Plus") will be a focus on quality improvement, including the celebration of a record 468 AHCA/HCAL National Quality Award recipients.

Keynote speakers will be former baseball great Cal Ripken, who will deliver "The Keys to Perseverance" Monday morning, and medical journalist and best-selling author Dr. Bob Arnot, who will speak on "The Future of Healthcare" Wednesday afternoon.

The exhibit hall will be open in the early afternoon both Monday and Tuesday. Dozens of educational sessions will be held Sunday through Wednesday.
