Providers are on the lookout for the release of new Quality Measures from federal regulators. Without naming a specific date, officials have said the measures would be released in April. The standard survey will be revised to accommodate new QM reports. Some indicators will be available for surveyor review but will not be part of the national program, according to CMS. For the sake of comparisons, state percentiles will be jettisoned in favor of national percentiles, officials said. Also, from here on out, QMs are expected to be changed more frequently than in the past, a CMS official has said.
