Top professionals in long-term care medication management will meet Wednesday for a three-day conference that will explore the implications of healthcare reform and also provide educational, networking and commerce opportunities. The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists’ Midyear Conference and Exhibition will run through next Friday at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix.

Highlighting the gathering of geriatric pharmacists will be Leslie V. Norwalk, JD. The acting administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services during the second Bush administration, Nowalk will deliver a keynote address Wednesday morning on the expected effects of healthcare reform and various Medicare changes on long-term care and its pharmacy operations.
