Training in nurse ethics is crucial to ensure patient safety and high quality care, and the American Nurses Association is hosting its inaugural Ethics Symposium to exemplify the importance.

The symposium will allow nurses to connect with experts while addressing everyday ethical situations, and learn from healthcare professionals who have acted on their ethical beliefs. Speakers include Sheri Fink, MD, Ph.D, reporter at The New York Times; Vicki Lachman, Ph.D, ANA Ethics Advisory Board; and Cynda Hylton Rushton Ph.D, RN, professor of Nursing and Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University.

The two-day event is June 4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 5, 8 a.m. to noon at the Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel in Baltimore. For a complete schedule and program, click here
