Software manufacturer Vigilan was recently acquired by RealPage Inc. for $5 million, both companies announced. Vigilan's software suite helps operators manage care, labor and billing. "We are excited to join the RealPage team and expect the combined operation to be the leading provider of software-as-a-service solutions that enable senior living property owners to manage every aspect of the senior living resident life cycle," said Doug Fullaway, Vigilan's CEO.
Vigilan announced the beta release of a charting app that allows residents' vital signs to be sent to an iPhone or iPad. The app can work independently or be integrated into the firm's software suite. Among its features: data sharing, weight trending and alerts. The free app is expected to be available for use with iPads and iPhones by March. An Android version will be available in the second quarter, according to Vigilan.
