DJO Global recently unveiled an ultralight knee brace for people suffering from osteoarthritis. OA Nano weighs only 14.2 ounces. The product helps relieve joint pain by essentially acting as a second knee. The device requires a prescription and has to be carefully adjusted for proper alignment. "Knee pain is very common and affects the lives of millions of Americans each year," said Neil Roth, M.D., of the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. "If left untreated, osteoarthritis will worsen over time, as a progressive degenerative disease that is a leading cause of chronic disability.”
