Scott Tittle

Scott Tittle has been named the new executive director of the National Center for Assisted Living. He will succeed Dave Kyllo, who will become vice president of its parent group’s insurance and membership programs.

Currently the state executive for the Indiana Health Care Association, Tittle will make the transition “this summer” while Kyllo will begin his new role “next month,” announced Mark Parkinson, president and CEO of the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living, in a letter to members Friday afternoon.

TIttle was listed as an “Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star” by The Indiana Lawyer from 2010-12 and earned undergraduate degrees from Vanderbilt University in 1995. He has compiled an array of experience, working as an attorney in both the private and public sectors, including a term as health policy director in the Indiana governor’s office.

“From the day I first met Scott, I was impressed with his extensive knowledge of public policy and understanding of the unique challenges our assisted living members face,” Parkinson said in his announcement. “Scott’s background dealing with governors, state and federal lawmakers, as well as the regulatory challenges so prevalent in this profession make him the perfect fit as head of NCAL.”

Kyllo will add another title to a long list of positions he has held during his more than 21 years with AHCA/NCAL. Parkinson has put him in charge of “our relatively new insurance products we are making available to members through the state affiliates.”

“Because of Dave’s infectious good nature, he will be a perfect fit to lead a very broad set of services offered under the Member Programs banner,” Parkinson said, adding that Kylllo “is one of the best in the field.”
