Survey: Median CCRC director salary approaches $120,000

Executive directors at continuing care retirement communities in the United States earn a median salary of $118,675 per year, according to the 10th annual Continuing Care Retirement Community Salary and Benefits Report. That constitutes a 4.9% increase over the 2006 median salary.

Nursing home administrators within the communities earn a median annual salary of $84,000, according to report, which was recently published by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service. The administrator's yearly pay rose nearly 7% compared to last year.

More than 400 CCRCs participated in the study and provided compensation data on some 61,000 employees nationwide. The report is published in cooperation with the American Association for Homes and Services for the Aging.
