Do you know what your customers want? Insights on the purchasing motivations and service expectations of the aging American population will be shared during “The Future of the Healthcare Marketplace” by renowned futurist and author Ian Morrison.

This presentation is one of the key topics on improving the patient experience that will be covered during the 2016 National Summit hosted by Health Dimensions Group. The event will be held Feb. 22 to Feb. 24 at Encore at Wynn in Las Vegas.

The summit will feature sessions around the themes of providing value and the future of post-acute care. Attendees will also hear discussions on consumerism and care coordination.

New in 2016 is a focus on the shift towards providing and reimbursing for value-based care. I’m pleased to see a healthcare leadership summit designed around value-based care and the patient experience.

I’m particularly looking forward to “Consumerism: Improving and Enhancing the Customer Experience,” where seniors from a local care center will share their opinions with today’s healthcare leaders. Another highlight is “The Challenges and Opportunities of IT in Post-Acute Care.” It often feels like the only thing changing faster than the environment of senior health and post-acute care is the technology being used. The implementation, management, and interoperability of these technologies are key to success of all post-acute care providers.

On Tuesday, participants are invited to the Alternative Care Options Intensive – a facilitated conversation with expert panelists. Achieving quality healthcare outcomes requires participation in integrated care partnerships. This session will provide the unique opportunity to hear from industry peers and, together, determine ways to tap into this opportunity.

Our national summit was designed to provide the strategies and solutions needed to create partnerships and programs essential for success in the future. The 2016 event once again promises an incredible learning experience. Sessions throughout the three-day event cover the daunting healthcare challenges facing our nation and suggest strategies to consider implementing. You’ll go home with new techniques to build partnerships, thrive in a value-based world, and improve the patient experience.
