Richard Dreyfuss, Lou Ferrigno to participate in benefit for celebrity nursing home

Hollywood's stars will be out Oct. 5 to support residents of the beleaguered nursing home run by the Motion Picture & Television Fund.

The event, "1 Voice-A Celebrity Revue of Monologues, Music and Moments," will bring together a number of Hollywood luminaries in support of the residents of the MPTF nursing home. Those residents have faced possible eviction since the MPTF announced the closure of the home nearly two years ago. (McKnight's, 1/19/09)

Among those scheduled to appear at the event are: Richard Dreyfuss ("Jaws," "Mr. Holland's Opus"); John Schneider (Bo Duke, from "The Dukes of Hazzard"); Dawn Wells (Mary Ann, from "Gilligan's Island"); and Lou Ferrigno ("The Incredible Hulk"). The event is being produced by the group Saving The Lives Of Our Own, which has advocated on behalf of the MPTF residents, and NEO Ensemble Theatre, a Hollywood-based theatre company. More information about the event is available at http://www.neoensembletheatre.org.
