Report: Salary for assisted living administrator salary stays same

New nationwide survey data indicate that the national median salary of assisted living administrators is $53,000 — virtually unchanged from two years ago when it was $53,040.

Conversely, the national median salary of director of nurses at an assisted living facility has increased 9.8% over last year's figures. The average assisted living DON salary is now $47,507, according to the newly released 2005-2006 Assisted Living Salary & Benefits Report released by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service, Oakland, NJ.

Administrator salaries for all sized assisted living facilities ranged from a low of $29,640 to a maximum of $160,300, according to the report.

The HCS report includes data from 1,109 assisted living facilities nationwide that responded to the survey. It breaks down salary levels for a wide array of positions, separating them both by region and facility size.
