On the heels of federal requirements that limit the role of consultant pharmacists, one of the nation's leading pharmacy companies defended its role. Remedi SeniorCare announced that the current relationship between the consultant pharmacist, long-term care pharmacy, and LTC facility “is and will continue to be an ethical and appropriate relationship that supports patient-centered, cost-effective care with the shared goal of achieving the best outcomes for residents.”
