Update released for InterQual tool

McKesson has released updates for its InterQual decision support management tool.

There are around 4,100 hospitals and 299 health plans that are InterQual customers. Care managers determining length of stay and managing care transitions also will want to dive into the updates, McKesson said.

InterQual 2016 has a Benchmark Length of Stay to help support discharge planning and a new Proactive Care Management Guidance that gives “expected progress” information.

Users are receiving more than 1,000 updates, including 90 new content areas. Content enhancements include the expansion of Comorbidities on Admission, which covers medical and behavioral health comorbidities for 10 high-volume conditions.
