Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care in Colorado Springs will be affiliating with Care Synergy, a not-for-profit organization. Other affiliates include The Denver Hospice, Halcyon Hospice in Mead, CO, and Pathways Hospice in Fort Collins, CO.

Each affiliate will continue to operate independently. Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care introduced the hospice movement to the Pikes Peak region in 1980, executives said.

“This partnership with Care Synergy allows us to remain independent and locally governed.  At the same time it will help us work more efficiently and put even more emphasis on the comprehensive end-of-life and palliative care we provide to those in need in our community,” said Martha Barton, president of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care.
