Smith & Nephew announced the closing of the acquisition of privately-held Kalypto Medical Inc. The acquisition helps bolster Smith & Nephew’s Negative Pressure Wound Therapy portfolio. Kalypto Medical makes the NPD 1000, a portable, ambulatory NPWT system. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
