Parata Systems and Talyst, both pharmacy technology companies, announced a partnership that will provide more benefits to customers.

Parata said it would join Talyst this week at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists meeting in New Orleans to exhibit its automated dispensing system, the Parata Mini.

“While Talyst and Parata have historically focused on different markets, changes in the healthcare industry are causing markets to converge,” the companies said.

“We are thrilled to partner with Talyst and extend our reach in the hospital setting,” said Mark Longley, executive vice president of sales, marketing, and business development at Parata. “Implementing Parata’s industry leading medication dispensing automation gives the pharmacy staff more time to work closely with patients and physicians — ultimately improving medication safety and patient outcomes.”

Organizations that have moved forward with Parata’s pharmacy automation in the outpatient setting are ideal targets for Talyst’s solutions, executives said.
