Benedictine Health System has been awarded an e-Health Connectivity Grant from the Minnesota Department of Health, MDI Achieve announced. This grant will be used to enable data exchange between BHS Participating Organization’s EHR, MatrixCare, and Epic Systems, the EHR of their hospital partner for this grant, Allina Health. Initially, the project will focus on the data exchange of select Continuity of Care Document (CCD) information between Allina and BHS Participating Organization locations. At project completion, any MatrixCare client will be able to exchange select CCD information with any health care provider that has the ability to exchange CCD information, provided that the two entities have established a peer-to-peer connection or are members of the same HIE.
