MatrixCare has released MatrixCare DIRECT, a messaging platform.

Powered by Secure Exchange Solutions and HIPAA-compliant, users can send secure emails to acute care and other healthcare partners from any device, the company said. Continuity of care documents, care summaries, lab results or other forms can be sent through DIRECT.

It includes the Secure Exchange One Click C-CDA viewer to display CCDs in a readable format. MatrixCare said it selected the Secure Exchange DTAAP/EHNAC-accredited HISP for its range of flexible deployment and directory services.

Long-term care providers using the service can help their acute care and physician partners meet requirements for Meaningful Use stipulations, the company added.
