Mölnlycke Health Care acquires positioning company
Mölnlycke Health Care has bought Sundance Solutions, a company that makes safe positioning and turning products for residents.
Sundance's proprietary solutions include Tortoise™, a system for turning patients safely. Sundance products complement Mölnlycke's portfolio of advanced dressing solutions, the company said. The latter company's advanced dressing solutions with Safetac®, such as Mepilex® Border Heel — can reduce the occurrence of pressure ulcers.
While terms of the deal were not disclosed, Sundance's annual revenues are around $25 million.
“At a time when healthcare providers are pressed to both reduce costs and maintain and improve patient care, Mölnlycke is committed to help them achieve both better patient outcomes and financial savings,” said Mölnlycke CEO Richard Twomey.
