As the fall trade show season kicks in, event planners are offering the usual opportunities to mingle with peers, learn more about the market and explore new products. This year, they are also showcasing celebrities who can tell funny stories. At the NIC show in Chicago, humorist Ben Stein had attendees doubled over in laughter. During the AHCA convention a week later, baseball legend Cal Ripken regaled providers with humorous memories from his playing days. And at the upcoming AAHSA show, Garrison Keillor will likely share tales from his fabled Lake Wobegone. It appears there's never a bad time for a good laugh.
