Distribution center to open in Maryland
Medline announced last month it was close to tripling its footprint in Maryland with the construction of a 1.1-million-square-foot distribution center in Perryville.
The new site will replace Medline's facility in Havre de Grace. It is expected to create more than 200 new jobs over six years.
The decision reflected hard work on strengthening the state's economy, said Gov. Larry Hogan (R).
“Not only do we have a highly skilled workforce ideal for manufacturing jobs, but we also have an outstanding transportation infrastructure, giving companies like Medline a strategic advantage to be able to easily reach customers throughout the region,” he said.
