CovenantCare at Home has purchased Hospice of Emanuel from Emanuel Medical Center, a not-for-profit community Christian hospital in Turlock, CA, the company announced.

CovenantCare at Home is based in Skokie, IL, and is an affiliate of Covenant Retirement Communities, which runs 15 U.S. retirement communities. It has run a home health agency in Turlock since 2008. The addition of the hospice, which has been renamed CovenantCare Hospice, will allow for a “seamless opportunity to obtain faith-based hospice and home health services,” said Emanuel President and CEO John Sigsbury.

The deal was finalized Dec. 20. The price was not disclosed.
