Service Management Group purchased Nashville-based Catalyst Healthcare Research effective August 1, allowing it to make a stronger move into healthcare research.
SMG focuses on customer experience management, traditionally in restaurants and retail, and added more than 60 new clients in 2015 and 2016.

SMG started in the healthcare arena in 2011 with a rating and review site for surgeons.
Catalyst Healthcare Research will retain the name, and its team will continue to work from Nashville. SMG is based in Kansas City.
