MatrixCare has announced it transmitted more NCPDP compliant prescription messages than all other LTPAC EHR vendors combined.

This statistic was confirmed by MatrixCare partners and reflects the Nov. 1 enforcement start of the use of NCPDP 10.6 Script by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the company said.

MatrixCare has live NCPDP-based integrations with pharmacies and pharmacy software systems servicing over 80% of the long-term care market, the company said.

“MatrixCare is one of the very few LTPAC EHR products to have NCPDP compliant messaging in production well before the November 1, 2014, enforcement deadline. Betting that regulatory deadlines will be delayed and, as a result putting our clients at risk, is not an option for MatrixCare. We were ready for ICD-10 well before the initial implementation date and we were ready for NCPDP messaging well in advance of the enforcement deadline,” said MatrixCare President and CEO John Damgaard.
