AT&T moves into fall detection market

AT&T has launched EverThere, a small wearable device that can detect falls and identify location.

The device automatically connects to a 24/7 call center, using support along the AT&T wireless network. Features include GPS technology to determine location and to send help, and the devices are designed to be lightweight and easy to set up.

EverThere is offering two options for coverage: $99.99 for an 11-month contract, with a monthly service charge of $29.99, or $199.99 for no annual contract, with a monthly service charge of $29.99 and no cancellation fee.

Both options include the device, charger, lanyard and belt clip.
