American HealthTech has released a new series of Revenue Cycle Management technology options for skilled nursing facilities.

AHT Eligibility Verification, the first release, streamlines and automates the SNF’s process of verifying individuals’ benefits and coverage period in real time, both pre- and post-admission, the company said. Integrated revenue cycle management process includes claims management, electronic remittance management, denial management, collections and others.

AHT president Teresa Chase said it can cost $25 per claim to manage a denial. A facility with dozens of residents and no automated eligibility verification can easily burn thousands of dollars, she said.

“We have placed a priority on rolling out new Revenue Cycle Management technologies to address our clients’ urgent needs to capture revenue through automation,” Chase said. “The AHT technology enables large, medium and small SNFs to automate eligibility verification. The benefits are avoiding rejected claims, reducing claim denials, and maximizing efficiency in the candidate-to-resident admission process — all of which optimize revenue and cash flow,” she said.
