PointClickCare has announced new integration for continuity of care and lab results into its electronic health record platform.

PointClickCare’s Integrated Lab Results™ will allow communication directly with ancillary diagnostic services and exchange resident information through the facility’s EHR. When results begin to trend outside of normal ranges, they are automatically flagged for review, allowing the clinical staff to adjust care plans.

Providers using PointClickCare are able to search for participating labs that offer integration with the platform by visiting the PointClickCare Lab Exchange website.

“Technology not only expedites this communication, but in many cases dramatically reduces errors and delays that are prevalent in paper-based transactions. The suite of interoperability capabilities from PointClickCare enables providers to become better integrated, better connected and more streamlined with their partners in care,” said Mike Wessinger, PointClickCare CEO.
