Med-Mizer recently released a pivoting bariatric bed called the PR80000. The bed, at 42 inches, has an 800-pound capacity. The frame articulates like a normal high-low bed but has the capacity to pivot in the same footprint and transform into a lift chair for transferring a patient in and out of bed.
The PR8000 includes functional lockouts and embedded controls, as well as dual stowaway assist bars.
