Richard Mabe is the new executive director of Waltonwood Cary Parkway, a senior community in Cary, N.C.
Waltonwood offers assisted living, memory care and independent living.
Mabe, a licensed nurse, spent five years working at Novant Health before becoming a resident care director at Carillon Assisted Living. He became the executive director of the community in 2013.
He has been on the advisory board for the local senior center in Brunswick County. He completed his nursing associate’s degree at Brunswick Community College, his bachelor’s degree at University of Mount Olive, and an assisted living administrator certificate program at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
