John Damgaard has been elected president of the board of directors for the National Association for the Support of Long Term Care. Damgaard is the president and CEO of MatrixCare.
He succeeds Garry Pezzano, MS, CCC/SLP, the Senior Vice President, Clinical Practice for Genesis Rehab Services, who moves into the role of Immediate Past President of NASL.
The other new NASL board officers are Martha Schram, president of Aegis Therapies,who will be a vice president and chairwoman of the NASL Medical Services Committee, and Alan Morrison, senior vice president of Business Development and Government Relations for Trident USA Health services, who will be vice president and chairman of the Diagnostic Testing Committe. Martha Shaker, president of Concept Rehab Inc., will be treasurer and James Pagoaga, Vice President, Rehabilitation for HCR ManorCare, will be the secretary.
