Omega Communities, a senior living developer, has bought a nine-acre site in Fort Myers, FL, for its next senior housing residences.

This will be the firm’s third project launch in southwest Florida this year, and the Fort Myers project will be the first not built on a church campus. Lawson Group Architects of Sarasota is the designer, with construction drawings almost completed.

The  site will have 135 assisted living and memory care residences in three buildings, and there will be 125 employees working at the facility once it opens. The total project cost will be between $25 and $30 million, with construction planned to started in spring 2015.
