Silverchair Learning Systems yesterday announced a partnership with Swett & Crawford, an independent wholesale insurance intermediary. The arrangement gives Swett & Crawford's risk management clients reduced-cost access to Silverchair's eLearning training content. Under the deal, Swett & Crawford will also cover their clients' initial activation fees. "It's great to see a leader in the field recognize this and choose to partner with Silverchair," said Mike Mutka, Silverchair's executive vice president of sales and marketing.
 

Samarion makes waves with Sonitor

Samarion has integrated ultrasound-based tracking technology into its long-term care software. Sonitor has developed the technology, which will allow Samarion to help long-term care facilities track residents, staff, visitors and equipment for effectively. The technology uses detectors and tags that are linked through an existing wireless network to a digital file that contains information about the object being monitored.
 

Customer milestone for Pyxis

Pyxis Corporation, a manufacturer and provider of automated medication and supply management systems, recently signed its 1,000th long-term care customer: Mercy Pavilion of Battle Creek, MI. RF Technologies offers regulatory help

RF Technologies announced that it will help customers navigate new Medicare regulations that could trim provider payments. Beginning in October, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services plans to stop paying for "preventable" hospital injuries (such as pressure ulcers).
