The new salary data is the result of a national wage survey of senior care facilities conducted by Scottsdale, AZ-based WageWatch, Inc., an online compensation and benefits survey company.

Other national average salaries at long-term care facilities include $50,100 for registered nurses and $38,500 for licensed practical nurses. The survey includes 2005 wage data from 90,000 professional and support employees from more than 1,500 senior care facilities, including skilled nursing assisted living, Alzheimer's care and continuing care independent living.
