The growing problem of resident-on-resident violence appears to have exploded with fatal consequences in the Chicago area recently. A homicide investigation is taking place at a nursing home where a 76-year-old nursing home resident was found murdered.

Mary Chrazaszcz, who resided at Alden Town Manor in Cicero, was suffocated. She was found last Saturday with a plastic bag tied around her head and a pillow over her face, according to authorities. A fellow resident is believed to have committed the crime.

The suspected resident may have been angry with the victim for making too much noise, according to a news report. The victim was largely bedridden and had limited use of her arms.
