Quality Commission on LTC to hold public hearing

The National Quality Commission for Long-Term Care will hold a public hearing Friday to discuss programs and progress.

Representatives of consumer groups, providers and associations have been invited to offer testimony. They include: Stephen Guillard, chairman of the Alliance for Quality Nursing Home Care; Robyn Stone, executive director of the Institute for the Future of Aging Services; and Betty Laubert of the National Association of State Long-term Care Ombudsman Programs.

Current and former policymakers expected to speak include: Mark McClellan, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, along with the commission's co-chairs, former Sen. Bob Kerrey and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
