The research institute RTI International is holding a forum to discuss the midterm election’s impact on implementation of the CLASS Act  at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., this morning.

The CLASS Act, or the Community Living Assistance Services and Supports Act, is part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. It will create a long-term care and disability insurance program. Speakers are expected to provide a post-election analysis of implementation of the CLASS act with specific emphasis on adverse selection.

The forum, which is called “Implementing the CLASS Act: Financing Long-Term Care in the United States,” will include experts including Joshua Wiener, Ph.D., distinguished fellow and program director of the aging, disability and long-term care program at RTI International; Diane Justice, senior program director, National Academy for State Health Policy; Anne Tumlinson, senior vice president, Avalere Health LLC; and Marc Cohen, chief research and development officer, LifePlans, Inc.
