While most of the country is filling out their census forms, nursing home residents are just beginning to receive theirs.

The government sent census forms starting Thursday for those classified as “group quarters,” according to USA Today. Group quarters include nursing homes, military barracks, college dorms and prisons.

Census workers have spent the last several weeks making advance visits to nursing homes in preparation for the final count, a 2010 Census worker recently explained to McKnight’s. If a resident is unable to fill out the forms, a census worker or staff member may be able to help them. For more information, visit www.2010census.gov.
