For the second straight year McKnight's Long-Term News has been honored for having the "Best News Section" in the national competition sponsored by the American Society of Health Publication Editors (ASHPE).

McKnight's once again also won five ASHPE awards overall. This year's other laurels include: Silver Awards for "Best Online News Section" (www.mcknights
online.com) and "Best Redesign," and Bronze Awards for "Best Special Supplement" (the 2005 Industry Directory) and "Best Regular Column" ("Ask the Care Expert").
Judges praised McKnight's news content for "excellent variety," while the publication redesign was "dramatic and courageous . . . really a service to the reader."
Top healthcare publications submitted a record number of entries, ASHPE officials said.
