AHCA honors four members for patient advocacy
The American Health Care Association has bestowed the Joe Warner Patient Advocacy Award on four recipients for working directly with members of Congress on long-term care patients' and residents' needs.
The award winners are: Don Bedell, the founder of Health Facilities Management Corporation; Phil Chase, the principal of the Chase Group in California; Terry Kuzman, the administrator of Parkway Pavilion HHC and president of the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities; and Dixie Taylor-Huff, the owner of Quality Care Health Center in Lebanon, TN, Gallatin Health Care Associates, Digitar Management Services, and Quality Care Home Health Agency.
The Joe Warner award is given annually. Warner was the former president and CEO of Illinois-based Heritage Enterprises.
